Looking for free lunch for your school-aged children this summer? The USDA Food and Nutrition Service can help! Simply go to the USDA Food and Nutrition Service website from there you will be able to search for the locations in your area that will be serving free breakfast or lunch. Don’t have access to the internet? No problem. Text “FOOD” to 304304 and you will receive a text message back with the location nearest you!
The Summer Food Service Program, also known as the Summer Meals Program, was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. When school is out, SFSP provides free meals to kids and teens in low-income areas.
